Despite being a three-time Player of the Year at SToK Racecourse and back-to-back promotion hero, Mullin has slipped down the pecking order in North Wales during the 2024-25 campaign. He has just five goals to his name across all competitions and has started only nine League One fixtures.

Phil Parkinson further bolstered his attacking ranks in January, with records being broken in the process, and Mullin has been struggling to make matchday squads. That is despite being a man with 110 goals for the Red Dragons to his name.
DID YOU KNOW?
Mullin is 30 years of age and needs to be playing regularly at this stage of his career. With that in mind, and Wrexham eyeing another step up the EFL ladder, it is being suggested that the prolific frontman will be moved on in the next window.
GettyWHAT CARLTON PALMER SAID
That is the opinion of former EFL player and manager Carlton Palmer, who has told : “Wrexham have a plethora of strikers right now, and Jay Rodriguez and Sam Smith are the two that are being chosen at the moment. Paul Mullin, who was out with an injury, is now falling down the pecking order.
“He’s an absolute legend at Wrexham. He’s scored over 100 goals for them, and has played a key part in their promotions from the National League to League One. The writing is on the wall. He remains under contract until 2027, but at his age I would have thought he wants to move on, and play regular football. I think it'll be in the interest of both parties.”
