Leeds fans are once again bashing their club’s recruitment policy, after January signing Yosuke Ideguchi missed out on Japan’s World Cup squad.
When Yosuke Ideguchi signed for Leeds from J-League side Gamba Osaka earlier this year, it’s fair to say fans were surprised. When the young international was loaned out to the Spanish second division, it was downright confusing.
Ideguchi already has 12 caps for Japan, but the 21 year-old midfielder was pawned off to Cultural Leonesa, who were struggling at the bottom of Spain’s Segunda Division.

The young midfielder was expected to star for the Spanish side before heading to the World Cup, and return to Elland Road next season brimming with confidence, but the move has turned into a complete nightmare.
Having played just five times for Cultural Leonesa, and not once since February, the youngster has missed out on Japan’s World Cup squad due to a lack of regular playing time.
As well as feeling sorry for the young lad, Leeds fans are once again bashing their club’s transfer dealings, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
