It seems crazy to think that just 18 months ago, Richarlison was a name that nobody had heard of. The Brazilian was plying his trade at Fluminense and was really fighting for his last chance to make it as a footballer. However, he got his dream Premier League move to Watford, shone for The Hornets and then followed coach Marco Silva to Everton, where he’s hitting new heights.
When Silva rocked up at Everton and agreed on a deal with Watford that could see The Toffees forking out £50 million for Richarlison if all of the clauses are met the football world was laughing at them. Now, though, everyone at Everton is laughing at the footballing world as Richarlison has gone from an inconsistent winger to an international star as he scored his 3rd goal for his country after first being capped in September.
The fact that Silva has seen something in RicharlisonÂto convert him into a #9 is probably the most genius thing done by a manager with a player this season. You often see a manager trial a player in a new position to little success, however, Everton’s 21-year-old Brazilian is not looking back from his change to a central striker. The goals keep coming in for both club and country and the Goodison Park faithful are loving the form of their new star man.
