Tomori arrived from Chelsea in 2020 on a one-year loan, which was then made permanent the following season. The 27-year-old has been one of the better players for the Rossoneri in recent years, playing a crucial role in the club's league triumph in 2021-22. However, Tomori found himself out of favour under former head coach Fonseca, leading to reports that AC Milan were ready to cash on their defender. Numerous clubs such as Juventus and more recently Spurs were linked with a January move for Tomori, but he ultimately stayed put.
WHAT FIKAYO TOMORI SAID
“No, I spoke to the people I needed to speak to," Tomori told Sky Sport (h/t Calciomercato). "But in the end I am the one who comes to the training centre every day, and I feel good here, I feel at home. In these four years I have won two trophies, we could have won more. Now we have a stronger team, I feel good here. As long as they don’t tell me to leave, I am happy here.”

Tomori's return to the backline as a regular under Conceicao has worked well for the Portuguese manager so far. They have won three of their last four league games, and will hope their good form domestically results in a top-four finish by the end of the season.
