U.S. international Josh Sargent bagged his 16th goal of the Championship season on Saturday, earning Norwich City a draw vs Swansea City.

Sargent found the back of the net in first half stoppage-time for his side, handing them a 2-1 lead at the break. However, Swansea fought back in the second half, scoring in the 54th minute to see the match eventually ending in a 2-2 draw.
With the result, the Canaries are now in pole position for a spot in the Championship playoffs this May.

Sargent has been on fire in the Championship this season, and his goal on Saturday could be the one that puts them in a spot for promotion to the Premier League in 2024/25.
With 16 goals in league play, he sits tied for 5th place in the race for the Golden Boot, and has one more than USMNT compatriot Haji Wright at Coventry City.
With just one matchday left on the calendar, the Canaries have nearly clinched a postseason spot, and with Sargent's run of form, a spot in the top division could be on the horizon.

The Canaries close out the regular season against relegation contenders Birmingham on May 4. With a win or a draw, the Canaries will confirm their spot in the English Championship playoffs, but Birmingham could also secure survival with three points.
It will be a contentious match between the two ends of the table.
